The Property
During your visit, explore the property on foot, snowshoe or ski. Rolling meadows, rocky crags, cool forests, and mountain vistas await. Stand in the sunshine and gaze down on a shimmering, crystal-clear twelve-acre lake, suitable for swimming, boating, and fishing. Take a walk up to the two-acre beaver pond and enjoy the chirp of crickets and the peeping of summer frogs. The ponds are stocked with rainbow, brook, and brown trout for the skilled angler. A complementary boat is provided for fishing or just floating around. There is so much to do and see that many of our guests spend days without ever leaving the property!
Golfers can practice their chips and putts on the luxurious lawn in the spacious backyard, then head down the street (only a two-minute drive) for a round at Okemo’s Tater Hill Golf Club.
In winter, snowshoe or ski around the snow-covered fields, or go sledding on one of our many hills. A five-minute drive will bring you to groomed cross-country and downhill ski areas. After a day enjoying winter’s delights, come inside and bask in the glow of a cozy fire in the fireplace.
For the naturalist, a variety of wildlife abounds on the property. Turkey, deer, partridge, moose, fox, and owls are just a few of our animal friends. Stroll the grounds around the house and enjoy the flower beds and garden. See rare plants such as three-leafed trillium, daphne, lady slipper and jack-in-the-pulpit. Summer brings rhubarb, blueberries, and raspberries.
If you like the smell of the forest, the sound of wind and wildlife, and the feel of cool grass under your bare feet, this is the place for you.
