The house is within a 20-minute drive of the historic and scenic
villages of Chester, Weston, Grafton, and Londonderry. Manchester, which is known for its great
shopping and dining, is also only a 20-minute drive. The top-rated Tater Hill Golf Club (an Okemo property) is
literally just down the street, less than five minutes away. Many of Vermont’s beautiful state parks –
which offer visitors great spots for swimming, fishing, hiking/walking and
picnics – are within a ten to thirty minute drive. For those of you looking for skiing action we are near Magic
Mountain, Bromley, Stratton, and Okemo downhill ski areas, and a short drive to
Wild Wings, Viking, and Grafton cross-country ski centers. Following are links to some of these nearby

Nearby Towns
There are a number of quaint Vermont towns nearby that are destination
spots for visitors and residents alike.
They include:
- Manchester, Vermont (20
minute drive) – one of the largest towns in the area.
- Grafton, Vermont (5 minute
drive) – is considered one of the prettiest villages in Vermont.
- Weston, Vermont (10 minute drive) – a
very pretty town and well known for the famous Vermont Country Store and
for the Weston Playhouse Theater Company (www.westplay.com lists their extensive
summer production schedule).
- Chester,
Vermont (10 minute drive) – a charming town with cute shops, good
restaurants and a fine tearoom.
- Londonderry,
Vermont (10 minute drive) – is best known for being the location of
Bromley Ski Mountain. In the
summer, the mountain becomes an action park – Thrill Zone.
- Woodstock,
Vermont (about an hour drive north) – one of Vermont’s most popular
destinations. It is well worth the
drive. Quechee, Vermont is a
neighboring town that is famous for the Quechee Gorge. For a rainy day activity, The Wall is an indoor climbing
wall in the Woodstock/Quechee area which is great fun for all ages.
